"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. [14] But small is the gate and narrow the road (PATH) that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Psalm 37:23 AMP
The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the LORD, And He delights in his way [and blesses his path].

John 5:1-9 NIV84
Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for a feast of the Jews. [2] Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. [3-4] Here a great number of disabled people used to lie---the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. [5] One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. [6] When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?"
[7] "Sir," the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me." [8] Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk." [9] At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.

3 TRUTHS FOR GETTING UNSTUCK ON OUR PATH

1. We must not allow our condition to evolve into a tradition.

John 5:5-6
[5] One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. [6] When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?"

2. We must understand that we often don’t face a problem; rather, we have a decision to make.

John 5:6b-7
"Do you want to get well?" "Sir," the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me."

3. The Difference between who we are…and who we want to be is what we DO!

John 5:8-9a
[8] Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk." [9] At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.
