A Christian disciple is an apprentice who follows and imitates Jesus into
mature belief, character, and missional living.

Disciples of Jesus will submit to the work of the Holy Spirit!

At salvation, the Holy Spirit takes residence in the disciple's life!

At the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the disciple is empowered to be used by
God in a greater capacity!

A Disciple is Anointed by the Holy Spirit!
 This anointing is an extension of God’s favor on His disciples.
(1 John 2:20)
 This anointing means that the Holy Spirit has become our teacher.
(1 John 2:27)
 This anointing means that we live our lives in submission to the Holy
Spirit. (Romans 8:14 & Galatians 5:25)

Thoughts about receiving the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
1. Understand that this gift is available for all believers.
2. It is a GIFT that is not earned but received by faith.
3. God’s Spirit already lives inside me.
4. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is received as we step out in faith.
5. Everything happens in God’s timing is not always our timing.
