One thing we can all count on is that money is stressful! It can lead to worry, anxiety and fear for all of us. It might even lead to Trust Issues. That is exactly what we are discussing this week as we dive into our series on finances called “Count on It”!

Ice Breaker: Why is it so difficult for us to trust others when it comes to money?

Oftentimes, our goal and focus surrounding money is to get more of it. Read 1 Tim 6:17. What is Paul trying to tell us in this verse?

Last week, we read Matthew 6:24. Let's take that verse a step further this week and read Matthew 6:24-33. Pastor Jonathan said, "There is no risk trusting God with money". How does nature (i.e birds and flowers) remind us of this?

Pastor Jonathan said, "Your trust is revealed by your actions". What does this mean? Do you trust Him enough to honor Him and live faithfully? Another way to think about this is to ask yourself if you are generous or if you are self-focused with your finances.

Any sacrifice for God’s purposes will be worth it. Your trust is revealed by your actions. What will you do with what you've been given? Take time and pray to our Heavenly Father. Ask Him to help you know where to be generous and/or where to start.
