Are you wanting to grow in your Spiritual journey?

Would you like to get to know others better? The River Church is committed to helping others grow in their faith and developing deeper connections with others. Our small groups are a great way to do this. We have groups for all ages and stages of life. They meet at different days and times to help provide an opportunity that can fit your schedule.

Upcoming Events

August 24th - Sleep In Heavenly Peace Bed Build
Join us from 8:00 a.m. - Noon for a rewarding day of building bunk beds for kids who don't have a bed. This is a great opportunity for everyone to pitch in and make a difference in the lives of families in our community. This is for ages 8 and up only. Children between ages 8 - 12 can help move lumber to different stations. Children ages 12 and up can help the builder team. Register at HitTheRiver.com.

August 25th - River Youth Fall Family Potluck
All River Youth students and their entire families are invited to join us for our second Family Potluck of the year - as we head into fall together! We will share a meal, play some crowd-friendly games, and have a brief devotional from God's Word. Please let us know how many members of your family are attending (ALL are invited!) and what you will be bringing. We are providing the meat and drinks and ask that students bring a dessert or side dish to share.

August 26th - Moms Meet Up
All moms and kids are invited. We are meeting up at the Monroe Bicentennial Commons Park covered playground and walking path. The address is 101 Jerry Couch Blvd. on Rt. 4 in Monroe. We can chat while kids play, take a stroll around the lake walking path and enjoy some fellowship together. Invite others to join you! Questions? email Leslie@hittheriver.com.

September 8th - Baptism Sunday

September 8th - Family Ice Cream Social
All families of babies-elementary kids are invited to meet up at The Twist on Sunday, September 8, at 3 PM. Enjoy a yummy treat, let the kids run and play, and connect with other families in similar life stages. The address is 7813 Bethany Road in Liberty Township. Sept.11th - Nov. 13th - Ladies Fall Bible Study
Join us for this 10 week study for ladies on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m here at the church. It will begin September 11th and end November 13th. Emily Mercer will be leading this group, we will go through a study by Jen Wilkin called Abide, studying 1 John, 2 John and 3 John. Child care is not available. September 21st - Church BBQ Picnic
Our annual fall BBQ event is back! We are going to have a backyard BBQ here at the River at 5:00 p.m on Saturday, September 21st. The church will be providing pulled pork and hotdogs and church attenders will sign up for sides and desserts. We will have sign-ups available in person next week!

Grief Share Group
We have a Grief Share group here that meets weekly for 13 weeks. A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way. This group will meet every Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Margie Jenkins will be leading the group, you can register for the group by going to HitTheRiver.com and clicking the Events tab.

Volunteer Opportunities!
Prayer Team - Our prayer team gathers together on Sunday mornings to pray together. They also are available to pray with others after services conclude. If you are interested in being part of our prayer team, please email info@HitTheRiver.com.

Greeter Team - Our Sunday morning greeter team is looking for a few volunteers to serve once a month greeting people on Sunday mornings. This is a great ministry for couples to serve in togerher! If interested, please email info@HitTheRiver.com.
