1. Have you ever struggled with your faith in God? If so, what were the circumstances surrounding your struggle?
2. Reflecting back on the story of Jacob and his relationship with his brother Esau, do you think Jacob was a man who deserved to be praised for his faith? Why or why not?
3. Esau sold his father’s inheritance to Jacob for a mere bowl of stew. Are you currently trading something incredible in your future for a short-lived craving in your present? (Warning: Answering this question truthfully may require gut-level honesty and courage. Go for it.)
4. Reflecting back on your own life, do you think you are the type of person who could be praised for your faith? Why or why not?
