Are you wanting to grow in your Spiritual journey?

Would you like to get to know others better? The River Church is committed to helping others grow in their faith and developing deeper connections with others. Our small groups are a great way to do this. We have groups for all ages and stages of life. They meet at different days and times to help provide an opportunity that can fit your schedule.

Upcoming Events

August 12th - River Youth Head to King's Island
All 6th-12th graders and interested parents are invited to a day of fun at King's Island! Parents are to drop off students at the park entrance at 10:00 a.m. and pick up at 4:00 p.m. Please send your student with money to purchase lunch inside the park. During registration, please let us know if your student has a King's Island pass or needs the church to purchase a day pass for them. Day passes are $50 and payment is collected during registration. August 13 - November 5th - Grief Share Group
Starting Tuesday, August 13th we will have a Grief Share group here that meets weekly for 13 weeks. A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way. This group will meet every Tuesday from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Margie Jenkins will be leading the group, you can register for the group by going to HitTheRiver.com and clicking the Events tab.

August 17th - River Youth Breakfast with the Goodings
Malory and Kyle Gooding are inviting all students to stop by their home for a morning breakfast bar and yard games! Students should be dropped off at the Goodings' at 10:00 a.m. and picked up at noon. Register at HitTheRiver.com and Malory and Kyle's address will be sent to you before August 17th.

August 24th - Sleep In Heavenly Peace Bed Build
Join us from 8:00 a.m. - Noon for a rewarding day of building bunk beds for kids who don't have a bed. This is a great opportunity for everyone to pitch in and make a difference in the lives of families in our community. This is for ages 8 and up only. Children between ages 8 - 12 can help move lumber to different stations. Children ages 12 and up can help the builder team. Register at HitTheRiver.com.

August 25th - Fall Family Potluck
All River Youth students and their entire families are invited to join us for our second Family Potluck of the year - as we head into fall together! We will share a meal, play some crowd-friendly games, and have a brief devotional from God's Word. Please let us know how many members of your family are attending (ALL are invited!) and what you will be bringing. We are providing the meat and drinks and ask that students bring a dessert or side dish to share.

September 8th - Baptism Sunday
Publicly celebrate your commitment to Christ and be baptized in obedience to God. We want to help you do that! Go to HitTheRiver.com to register and someone from The River will be in contact with you! Questions? Email info@hittheriver.com.

Sept.11th - Nov. 13th - Ladies Fall Bible Study
Join us for this 10 week study for ladies on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m here at the church. It will begin September 11th and end November 13th. Emily Mercer will be leading this group, we will go through a study by Jen Wilkin called Abide, studying 1 John, 2 John and 3 John. Child care is not available. Volunteer Opportunities!
Nursery Team - Our Nursery attendance is GROWING and it is so exciting! We are grateful for the new babies the Lord is letting us care for in River Kids, and we are starting to need some extra hands! We are looking for teen and adult volunteers interested in caring for, comforting, and spending time with the sweetest babies one Sunday a month. Prayer Team - Our prayer team gathers together on Sunday mornings to pray together. They also are available to pray with others after services conclude. If you are interested in being part of our prayer team, please email info@HitTheRiver.com.

Greeter Team - Our Sunday morning greeter team is looking for a few volunteers to serve once a month greeting people on Sunday mornings. This is a great ministry for couples to serve in togerher! If interested, please email info@HitTheRiver.com.
