Worship Gathering - Uncomfortable
Focus this Sunday:
This Sunday we continue a summer sermon series looking at the topic of comfort. Our culture calls us to comfort... and to avoid being uncomfortable at all costs. So what do we do with the reality that living into being part of God's people can be uncomfortable? What does God have to say to you in this?
Join us Sunday at 10:15am either onsite or online! The link to the online service is on our website at (www.caspernazarene.com) and click on the Link to the Service.
Reflection Questions: (Privately or invite a few friends to discuss!)
1. What is one thing that stood out to you from this week’s message?
2. On pages 123–24 of Uncomfortable, McCracken playfully lists stereotypes of awkward, uncomfortable, or downright obnoxious people he’s encountered at church (the huggers, the know-it-alls, the church ladies, the flaky plan-cancellers). How does digging into the local church require us to form relationships with people we wouldn’t normally form relationships with?
3. Why should we seek out relationships with people who are different from us?
4. How is being a part of the local church sometimes difficult?
5. What unites the body of Christ?
6. How can we encourage and pray for each other in this?
