1. Jesus addresses anger through murder.
“The fastest horse cannot catch a word spoken in anger” Chinese Proverb (Bits & Pieces, July 25, 1992, p. 5. https://sermonillustrations.com/a-z/a/anger.htm)
2. Being angry with a brother.
“For us as Christians to feel enmity in our hearts is, according to our Lord Jesus Christ, to be guilty of something which, in the sight of God, is murder. To hate, to feel bitter, to have this unpleasant, unkind feeling of resentment towards a person without a cause is murder. (Studies in the Sermon on the Mount, Lloyd-Jones, 197)
“Know this, my beloved brothers; let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.” James 1:19
3. Insulting another.
“it stabs the soul to its core and deflates its powers of life. It can hurt so badly and destroy so deeply that murder would almost be a mercy. Its power is also seen in the intensity of the resentment and rage it always evokes.” Dallas Willard (Following the Call, Moore, 96)
4. If angry, you are guilty.
