This Week's Bulletin
Find out what's happening in the next couple of weeks!
https://sbcflint.org/this-weeks-bulletin/The account of Moses is all about magnifying the greatness of God.
Starting right from Moses' birth, the greatness of God was on display as God allowed Moses’ life to be spared by the daughter of the one who ordered all the male Israelite babies to be killed. We saw the greatness of God on display when Moses was in Midian and God called him from a burning bush to go back to Egypt in order to help free the Israelites from their 400-year bondage to the Egyptians. We have also seen the greatness of God on display through the 10 plagues that God sent in order that both the Egyptians and the Jews might know that he was indeed the Lord - the Great I Am.

"Why, Why, Why??"
God knew that he needed to prove to them one more time how they could be confident that, as his people, he would ALWAYS fight FOR them, before he asked to fight THROUGH them for the first time.

What should we do when God’s wisdom doesn’t seem to be making much sense in our lives, and doubt and discouragement are starting to creep in?
God wants us to be confident that his wisdom is as great as he is, but when we are struggling to believe this reality in our lives, let me close by sharing with you the following:
-> Be assured of Romans 8:28: “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” God is after your maturity and growth more than your happiness and comfort, and he has the perfect lesson plan in place for your life to accomplish such maturity and growth.
-> Pray for wisdom. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” When you feel lost or confused, that is the time you must turn to God in prayer, asking Him to shine a light on his wisdom that you are struggling to see in the moment, and to deal with your fears and anxieties as you wait.
-> Turn to Scripture. Psalm 119:105 is a great reminder to us. It says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” The Bible contains timeless truths that can provide much needed clarity in times of ambiguity.
-> Get wise counsel and support. Ecclesiastes 4:9-13 has much to say about this. “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Better was a poor and wise youth than an old and foolish king who no longer knew how to take advice.” Seek guidance from wise and trusted individuals who can not offer you godly counsel and perspective on your situation, but also some much needed support.
-> Be child-like in trusting in God. Proverbs 3:5-6 isn’t complicated. Many of you may have memorized it as a child. It says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” It’s easy in uncertain times to overthink and overanalyze things. Instead, God’s desire for you, as a child of his, is to trust him in the same way that a young child fully trusts in his or her parents.
