The Summer of Love Part 8

The Summer of Love Part 8

A journey through the book of 1st John exploring what it truly means to walk in love. We'll be challenged to evaluate the authenticity of our love - for God, for our fellow believers, and for the world around us. John's words confront complacency and remind us that love requires sacrifice, humility, and obedience to Christ.

Our identity is citizens of the kingdom of Christ.
Our hope is grounded in Jesus.
Our mission is to be agents of unity.
Our response is prayer and love
If God always answered my prayers with a yes, His involvement in my life would be limited to my imagination and my insecurities. But God has so much more for you and for me.
Why don't I take prayer more seriously?
Most of us just worry out loud or try to tell God what to do and call it prayer.
2. We Don’t Realize the Privilege of Prayer
The most profound answer to our prayers isn’t in what God does, but in the fact that He listens.
3. We Let Doubt and Disappointment Take Over
“A faith without some doubts is like a human body without any antibodies in it. The strongest form of faith is one that has wrestled through doubt.” - Tim Keller
Faith grows deeper not by complaining to God, but by worshiping Him through our frustrations.
Clarity: Clearer communication with God, understanding His will and guidance.
Peace: A sense of peace, knowing that we are connected with our Creator.
Power: The power of effective prayer, seeing God work in and through our lives.
