More Than a Song: Living a Life of Worship - The Electric Cowboy and the Apocalypse
As many followers of Jesus are aware, the joy of the Lord is our strength. But it is also a command. While many Christians see joy as something we are invited to experience, we often fail to see that Scripture commands us to take joy in the Lord. This isn’t a superficial bubbliness — it’s a radical commitment to delight in Jesus regardless of our circumstances, and it’s at the very heart of a lifestyle of worship.

https://share.fluro.io/form/6329f633da0feb00250cbd5fJoy is a byproduct of a Christian’s daily walk with the Lord.
A Christian absent of Joy isn’t simply missing out on a blessing, but one walking in disobedience and disconnect from Christ.
The Problem of Joy:
The struggle of Joy is not being told we are supposed to have it, but when we’re supposed to have it.
The struggle of Joy is not being told we are supposed to have it, but when we’re supposed to have it.
The reality is Joy is not just a result of the Spirit, or an aspect of worship, but a command to follow.
Perspective is everything!
The bottom line with joy. . .
It is finding complete enjoyment in the the heart of God.
This is precisely how Joy and Worship overlap.

Why do we not have joy?
Our desires are too weak!
Our desires are too weak!
“We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea.”
C.S. Lewis
C.S. Lewis
Joy is the high and holy calling.
How to get joy:
1. Walk in the Spirit
2. Worship God
3. Live for the Endgame
4. Abide in the source
