SAVING FAITH is now your ROCKET FUEL to GROW UP in your salvation.

THE TWO STEP RECIPE TO GROW IN YOUR SALVATION IS TO CUT AND CRAVE:
REJECTION: To deeply examine and then deem USELESS.

YOU ARE CHOSEN BY GOD

YOUR PRECIOUS TO THE FATHER; INSTEAD OF BEING REJECTED, GOD DEEPLY EXAMINED YOU AND CHOOSE YOU AND PAID FOR YOU WITH THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS.
You are being built as a Spiritual House and the replacement of the Old Testament Temple of God.
AS A HOLY PRIESTHOOD YOU HAVE FULL ACCESS TO GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST.
We offer sacrifices as the Holy Spirit Leads.
LOOK HOW ROOTED ARE FAITH IS TO BE IN JESUS.
Don’t Reply on Anything Except for God, even in your worst days!
Made the mistake of finding refuge in an FOREIGN ARMY INSTEAD OF THE FAITHFUL ARMS OF GOD!
They didn’t need an army; they need to RETURN TO GOD.
REPENTANCE ALWAYS PROCEEDS REFUGE:
Just as Moses was rejected and delivered Israel; Jesus was rejected and will DELIVER US!
If we reject Jesus, it’s no different than those who rejected Moses. It’s no different than THOSE WHO CHEERED HOSANNA ON SUNDAY & CRUCIFY HIM ON FRIDAY.
WHEN YOUR BACK IS AGAINST THE WALL NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD!!!
Talk It Over:

Below are Life Group discussion questions based on the message for those who need to finding strength in the midst of adversity.

Opening Discussion
1. Introduction & Icebreaker: Share one fun or memorable moment from the Father’s Day picnic. How did it make you feel connected to our community?
2. Reflect on Rejection: Can you recall a time when you felt deeply rejected by someone close to you? How did that impact your faith and relationship with God?

Exploring the Word
1. 1 Peter 2:1-3: What does it mean to “rid yourselves of all malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander”? How do these actions relate to the experience of rejection?
2. Personal Reflection: How have these sins manifested in your life during times of adversity and rejection? What steps can you take to cut them out?

Craving the Word
1. Crave Pure Spiritual Milk: 1 Peter 2:2-3 encourages believers to crave the word of God. How can immersing yourself in scripture help you grow in your faith, especially during challenging times?
2. Taste and See: Share the moment when you “tasted that the Lord is good.” How did you come to start a personal relationship with Jesus?

Rejection and Acceptance
1. Jesus, the Rejected Stone: Reflect on 1 Peter 2:4-5. How does knowing that Jesus was rejected by men but chosen by God bring you comfort in your own experiences of rejection?
2. Personal Application: How can you remind yourself daily that you are chosen and precious to God, despite any rejection you face from others?

Building a Spiritual House
1. Living Stones: According to 1 Peter 2:5, we are being built into a spiritual house. What does it mean to you to be part of this holy priesthood? How can this perspective shift your relationships with God?
2. Spiritual Sacrifices: What are some “spiritual sacrifices” you can offer to God in your daily life? How does this practice draw you closer to God?

Trusting in the Cornerstone
1. Isaiah 28:16: Jesus is the cornerstone that the Jerusalem leaders failed to turn to. How does the imagery of Jesus as the cornerstone help you understand the stability and security He offers?
2. Firm Foundation: When facing adversity, how can you practically place your trust in Jesus, the cornerstone, rather than in temporary solutions?

Reflection and Application
1. Peace in Rejection: Reflect on Psalm 118:22-25. How can you find peace and joy in knowing that Moses and Jesus, despite being rejected, are/is the cornerstone of your faith?
2. Action Steps: Identify one area in your life where you need to trust in Jesus more deeply. What steps will you take this week to rely on Him as your firm foundation?

Closing Prayer
1. Prayer Requests: Share any personal challenges or situations where you feel rejected and need God’s strength.
2. Group Prayer: Pray together, asking God to help each member of the group to cut out sins, crave His word, and trust in Jesus as their cornerstone, especially in the face of rejection and adversity.
