The Pre-requisite of biblical parenting:
The truths of God must first be on your hearts, and seen modeled in your life.
The truths of God must first be on your hearts, and seen modeled in your life.
We should be painting such a large picture of God in our homes as we talk about Him, and His strengths, and His wondrous works, and His glory, that our children would have confidence in God, not in this world or the things of this world.
What we are not equipped to be for our kids?Lord and Savior.
You want to establish a culture in your home where your kids begin to hear form God.
Rules vs Values
Values in parenting is to model to our children that our greatest joy is not having stuff or doing fun things, but the joys of knowing God.
Principles in our Parenting:
Calling-Nothing is more important in your life than being one of God’s tools to form a human soul.
Grace-God never calls you to a task without giving you what you need to do it. He never sends you without going with you.
Identity-If you are not resting as a parent in your identity in Christ, you will look for your identity in your children.
Process-You must be committed as a parent to a long-view parenting because change is a process not an event.
