As Christians we are shaped by the stories in the Bible and especially the stories about Jesus. Knowing these stories truly shape our understanding of ourselves, our neighbors and the world around us. Similarly, as United Methodists, we are shaped by the stories of our tradition… stories about our founder, John Wesley and his brother the great hymn writer, Charles Welsey. Stories about how the name“Methodist” was a derogatory term that early Methodists claimed with pride! Stories about John Wesley’s heart-warming experience and many other stories about God’s amazing grace!
