Be Content
In the tenth commandment God requires that we consider our thoughts, attitudes, motives, and desires as we live the Christian life. God wants us to be content with what we have, not envying anyone or resenting what God has given them or us. --- Many people are looking for a life of hope, freedom, and blessing. The law of God is often viewed as a list of do’s and don’ts, but it is actually God’s guide for us to experience a life of freedom filled with blessing. The ten commandments are not only God’s code of conduct for a moral life, but they help us see our need for Jesus and show us how we can live a life filled with hope.

It is a good discipline to test our speech by asking these questions of what we are about to say, especially when it concerns another person: Is it kind? Is it true? Is it necessary? God wants us to not lie or deceive others, but to speak the truth in love.
