Sermon on The Mount
Matthew 5, 6, 7
Matthew 5, 6, 7
“The more I read these three chapters—Matthew 5, 6, and 7—the more I am both drawn to them and shamed by them.” (Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount and His confrontation with the World, D. A. Carson, 13).
Jesus is not saying ‘Live like this and you will become Christian; rather we are told, ‘Because you are Christian live like this.’
(Studies in the Sermon on the Mount, Lloyd-Jones, 11-12)
