(Romans 8:11 NLT) The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

• Believe

(John 11:25-26 NIV) ... "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. ||| Do you believe this?"

(Mark 9:17 NLT) One of the men in the crowd spoke up and said, "Teacher, I brought my son so you could heal him. He is possessed by an evil spirit that won't let him talk.

(Mark 9:18 NLT) ... So I asked your disciples to cast out the evil spirit, but they couldn't do it."

(Mark 9:19 NIV) "You unbelieving generation," Jesus replied...

(Mark 9:22-24 NLT) The spirit often throws him into the fire or into water, trying to kill him. Have mercy on us and help us, if you can." "What do you mean, 'If I can'?" Jesus asked. "Anything is possible if a person believes." The father instantly cried out, "I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!"

Fueling Our Doubt
• I think God doesn't do the it right way.

• I've tried believing and it didn't work.

• I hear the doubt of others.

(John 20:25 NLT) (Thomas) replied, "I won't believe it unless I see the nail wounds in his hands, put my fingers into them, and place my hand into the wound in his side."

(John 20:27-28 NLT) Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don't be faithless any longer. Believe!" "My Lord and my God!" Thomas exclaimed.

(John 20:27 NIV) Jesus said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."

(John 20:28 NIV) Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"

3. Give your life to the One who gave His life.

• Believing isn't in something.

• Believing is on someone.
