Real love resets perspective
1. A reset perspective reveals my purpose.

2. A reset perspective values what matters most.

3. A reset perspective values who matters most.

4. A reset perspective is motivated.
START TALKING
Share an example of a time when your love for something or someone changed your perspective on it. (Think about Rodney’s example of his initial views on volleyball or karaoke, but because of his daughter’s interest in it, and his love for his daughter, it changed his perspective on it).

Think about the word love. We only have one word for love, but in the Greek language there are several words for it. What are some examples of how we love things differently or in different levels?

START THINKING
Read 2 Corinthians 5:11-12. What are we trying to “persuade others” to? What purpose does this verse really reveal for us?

What does verse 12 reveal that matters most - or at least SHOULD matter most? What things are we tempted to value most?
START SHARING
Read 2 Corinthians 5:13. If being “out of our mind” is for God - and because HE is who matters most - what fears, thoughts or feelings keep you from caring about what HE thinks above what others think? What are some examples of this in your faith journey?

Read 2 Corinthians 5:14. How are you compelled by Christ’s love? How does his love motivate you to do things that aren’t comfortable for you naturally? How does it change your perspective on how you live your life? How does it change your mission?
START DOING
In light of how Christ’s love SHOULD compel us, what will change for you this week? Will you look internally at why his love isn’t compelling you? Will you look at your fears and insecurities of why you aren’t more bold or “out of your mind” for God? Will you pray for boldness?

Who in your life needs to experience the compelling love of Jesus that changes everything? How do you plan to share it with them, even starting this week?
START PRAYING
First share with your group how you will be praying and fasting this week as we lead up to Easter.

Now, pray for each name that was shared earlier that needs to experience Jesus, pray for each other’s fasting journey this week, and pray that God gives us all boldness in our faith journey this week and beyond.

OneLife Membership

Each year at OneLife we wipe our membership roster clean and start over by identifying who is already "membering" and acknowledge that for the year to come. If OneLife Church is your home and you want to know more about how you can take the step to being a member in 2024 (and why that even matters!) check out this page and complete the membership self-assessment. We will help you determine the best next step for you to be fully invested and engaged in the life of our church and our mission!
