Community Group Conversation Starters
Conversation Starters help us dig deeper, connecting Sunday’s sermons with our Monday lives. Please know that these questions are meant to be a resource. You do not have to follow them verbatim or get through them all. We trust you to know your group and to ask the questions based on your group needs.

1. Read Matthew 28.

2. What stood out to you from the passage?

3. What stood out to you from the sermon?

4. This chapter concludes with the great commission, which is Jesus’ charge to make disciples of all nations. Reflect on the role discipleship plays in your own life. What are you doing to make disciples? How are you being discipled? How can you be encouraged in this area by knowing that Jesus is always with you?

5. How will you apply this to your life? What are you going to do, be or think differently because of this truth?

Take time to share prayer requests and pray together.

Title: Jesus came back to life for your life!
Scripture: Matthew 28:1-20
Speaker: Tom Nelson, TomN@cckc.church
> The Empty Tomb: What Happened?
“We live in a culture that doubts everything as a matter of principle, often seeing commitment to any beliefs as the ultimate secular sin.” He continues…“Doubt is an invitation to grow in faith and understanding…” - Alister McGrath, Doubting,Growing Through The Uncertainties of Faith
> The Empty Tomb- Why Does It Matter?
1) The empty tomb validates Jesus’ claims.
2) The empty tomb meets our heart’s deepest longings.
“Somebody save me from myself…I'm a lost cause, Baby, don't waste your time on me. I'm so damaged beyond repair. Life has shattered my hopes and my dreams." - Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson, Save Me
“There is indeed a leap of faith involved in Christianity–but it is not an irrational leap in the dark. The Christian experience is that of being caught safely by a loving and living God, whose arms await us as we leap.” - Alister McGrath, Doubting
