Introduction:
It is always good to have a plan. God has a plan. His plan involves a very special man. This plan goes back longer than you may think. Let’s understand and look at that plan right from the beginning. Then, look at the really big picture and see that this plan was in place before the foundation of the world.

“In heavenly places in Christ” Christ’s ascension is the means of introducing us into the heavenly places, which by our sin were barred against us.
“Love” here is agape in Greek, the love that is by choice or one’s will, not just a sentimental feeling. having predestined us: Predestination is not a cold-hearted determinism or set fate, but rather a loving choice on God’s part.
Adoption - the placing as a son, that is, adoption (of children, of sons).
“To them He gave the right” refers to the legitimate entitlement to the position of children of God. By believing, undeserving sinners can become full members of God’s family.
Accepted - to grace, that is, indue with special honor: - make accepted, be highly favored.
“…in the Beloved” may also be translated “the One He Loves,” namely, Jesus Christ. In Colossians 1:13 Paul uses the similar title “the Son of His love.” The Beloved is a messianic title, referring to God’s Son. Jesus is not simply one among others who are loved by God. He is the Beloved Son.
