Use this space to take your general notes during the message.
The meaning of The Cross is not just one thing but many. For many of us, The Cross is viewed as our ticket into Heaven, but it is so much more. This week, Pastor Jonathan is taking us through the multifaceted meaning of The Cross and what it means for us.
At The Cross, we see who God truly is, and what He's like. God is not angry or violent. He would rather die than kill his enemies. Read 2 Corinthians 5:19. How does this verse illustrate the character of God?

2 Corinthians 5:19

At The Cross, Jesus became sin to forgive sin and defeat sin's power. Read 1 Peter 2:24. Reflect on the meaning behind the phrase "by his wounds you have been healed".

1 Peter 2:24

At The Cross, Jesus challenged and clarified what "power" truly is. We think of power as authority and dominance. How did Jesus challenge our earthly perception of power? Read Colossians 2:15 and Philippians 2:7-8.

Colossians 2:15

Philippians 2:7-8

At The Cross, Jesus identifies with our suffering- He sees us and He cares. What evidence of this truth do we see in Isaiah 53:3? How can this inspire us to keep going even during the most difficult times?

Isaiah 53:3

At The Cross, We see the ultimate display of supreme love- love for all! Read Romans 5:8 and John 3:16. God gave us Jesus just because of HIS LOVE; nothing on our part. How can we take this message out into the world and Love First?

Romans 5:8

John 3:16

The Cross is so much more than a ticket to Heaven. It's a continued invitation. This is what Jesus lived for and it's what we live from. Take some time and pray to our Heavenly Father. Thank Him for The Cross and the reminder of ALL He did and does for each of us.
