Born Again to Be a Disciple - Carlo Casaleggio
To become a church member, you must first become a disciple of Jesus, which requires you to have a relationship with God and follow Him wholeheartedly. This means turning away from life on your terms and being born again. Jesus introduced the concept of being born again in an encounter with Nicodemus - one of the religious leaders of his day. He explained to Nicodemus that in order to be saved, he needed a completely fresh start. And it is the same for us – we need to set aside our own ideas and worldview and allow Jesus to transform us.

1. Why do I need to be born again?
- The quick answer: because you're dead.
- We are born spiritually dead and utterly incapable of having a relationship with God.
- You can do everything in your power to be a better person and still be dead because there is only One who can bring the dead to life.

2. What happens when I'm born again?
- Being born again results in entering the kingdom of God. Just like you entered physical life when you were born, you enter the kingdom of God when you are born again.
- Being born again means life, peace and new righteousness. When you are born again, you enter into a whole new life.

3. How can I be born again?
- The Holy Spirit stirs our hearts and we choose to respond and believe.
- Ultimately, the Spirit creates new life out of the old. But you have to respond. You have to act. You have to believe.
Romans 10:9-10 (NIV)
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
