SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
Spiritual growth happens when we receive new knowledge and then apply it to our lives. This always happens best in the context of community. Take time this week and engage in these additional scriptures and questions on your own. Then, discuss them with your Small Group.“As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend” Proverbs 27:17
GETTING STARTED
What stood out to you most this week? What did you learn? What was not clear was what you would like to discuss.
As we come to the close of this series, what has been the most significant takeaway for you as you journey with Jesus?
GOING DEEPER
Reflect on the analogy of the Israelites in the desert and their grumbling attitudes. Have you ever encountered a similar situation where you complained about your circumstances despite experiencing God's grace all around you?
Reflect on John 3:14-15 and its connection to the bronze serpent story. What does it mean for Jesus to be "lifted up" on the cross? How does his death provide healing and salvation for those who believe in him?
Consider the simplicity of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.Do you find it challenging to accept this message of grace without having to "do" anything to earn it? Why or why not?
WHERE SCRIPTURE MEETS LIFE
Share personal experiences or testimonies of how you have applied the principle of believing in Jesus to your own life. How has faith in Christ impacted your perspective, attitudes, and actions?
In conclusion, discuss practical steps you can take to apply the principle of believing in Jesus to your daily life. How can you cultivate a deeper trust in Christ and rely on his grace for salvation and sanctification?
