Faithful
Pastor Jerry Koller
Our God is a faithful God.
Faithfulness denotes the firmness or constancy of God in His relations with men.
· It is totally impossible for God to be unfaithful.
· It is totally impossible for God to be unfaithful.
Faithfulness is an attribute God shares with us.
Jesus was the ultimate example of what faithfulness is all about.
“Potentials” that may result in unfaithfulness:

2. Fear—Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat. It has to do with being afraid, alarmed, or apprehensive.

3. Weakness—Weakness is the property of lacking physical, mental, or spiritual strength.
4. Outside Influences
5. Laziness
What then can be done to develop and exercise faithfulness?
1. Seek to Know
1. Seek to Know
2. Grow in Knowledge
3. Obedience
4. Live by the Spirit
Based on circumstances or even personal experience, there may be times when it does not appear to us that God is faithful—especially in regard to His promises.
What to Do:
1. We need to ask ourselves if this is an actual promise God made.
2. If it is a promise, that does not mean it is an all-inclusive promise. It certainly can be a generalized statement.

Inclement Weather
If we need to cancel church activities, we will communicate closures via email, text, phone, and on our Facebook page. Information may also be communicated on tv through WWMT (channel 3), WoodTV (channel 8), and Fox 17 (channel 17), but the other methods will be our first priority. If you are not receiving communication in one of these ways, please contact the church office.
Have You Considered?
Did you know that if your bank offers online services, you can set your tithe up as a regular ‘bill payment’ through your bank? This is a convenient option to help with continuity in giving and the ability for you to tithe even when you are on vacation or miss church. It eliminates having to wonder if you turned in your offering while you were gone! If you have questions or would like more information about how to utilize this convenient option, check with your banking institution or contact the church office.
Pop Cans = Scholarships
Don’t forget that your beverage can & bottle donations are used to fund teen scholarships for youth retreats, summer camps, special activities, etc. Please bring your recyclable items to the church anytime!

· Rhonda Dobberstein praise God that the margins from cancer surgery are clear; will begin radiation.
· Ginny Dorsey (Rhonda Dobberstein's mom) is still in the hospital on the rehab floor as she is not ready to be home yet. Her husband Jim also took a fall last week and is barely walking by himself, so not having her return home yet is a blessing while they both continue to recover.
· Vincent Bryant (son of Miriam Bryant) is dealing with several health issues. He has been dealing with blood clots which have been interfering with his dialysis treatments. He continues to recover from a second surgery on his left hand after an infection which resulted in one finger being amputated. He is also having issues with an ankle that prevents him from driving. As a result, Miriam is transporting him to dialysis three days a week.
· Miriam Bryant has begun therapy for hip issues.
· Pete Danapilis has a second cataract surgery rescheduled for February 27.
· Nolan Marshall · was approved to receive services for another year. Praise God for answered prayers!
· Anna Bocock’s Lyme tests came back that she has Epstein Barr in addition to one strain of Lyme. They are not able to treat the Lyme until the Epstein Barr is under control. She is currently very sick and is not responding to the treatments for the Epstein Barr. Pray that the treatments start working and she is able to get that under control so that she can move forward with the Lyme treatment within the next few months. .
· Caroline Bocock is doing much better! She passed her concussion test after a year of failing and has been approved to do anything she wishes. She will have more Lyme testing later this month, but the symptoms have almost completely disappeared since her treatment in July. Pray for continued improvements and for clear test results so she doesn’t have to do anymore treatments.
· Joyce Bocock continues to do well. Prayers for continued improvement and relief from pain are appreciated.
· Check out our monthly prayer card on-line at southhavenfbc.com under “Weekly Bulletins” for a list of those with on-going needs.
