Even though we experience the blessing of being saved from the penalty of sin, we might still need to be set free from the strongholds, or lies, that inhibit us from enjoying full life in the Spirit. Thankfully the Spirit of God wants to set us free.

For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Corinthians 3:17 (NLT)

3. What are some examples of strongholds in people’s lives?

4. How do you capture a rebellious thought, or take a thought captive, and make it obedient to Christ?

5. How can you tell if someone has the Spirit of God?

6. What’s an example of thinking from the world’s point of view?

7. What can help you think from God’s viewpoint?

8. How does it help you knowing that God’s Spirit in you is greater than the spirit of this world?

9. What steps will help us trust Jesus to set us free?

10. What does it mean to you to be set free? How has Jesus set you free?

11. What do you need to be freed from? Ask God to show you and to set you free.
