Ice Breaker: Do you prefer to work alone or with others?

It's the final week of our "Roll With It" series and we are wrapping with one more simple truth: "God's agenda for your life is incomplete without others". What is your initial reaction reading that statement?

Think about a time when you had to work in a group. What were some of the benefits and challenges of this experience?

Reflect on your faith walk. Have you ever fluctuated between "rolling" along with others and "rolling" along by yourself? What impact did these differing experiences have on your faith?

Read Jesus' prayer in John 17. What do you think He meant when He said, "make them one"? When this happens, what are the results?

To achieve the unity that Jesus prayed for, He gave us a guide through His words and actions. We find these "one anothers" sprinkled throughout the New Testament. Read Phillippians 2:4. What is the attitude of Christ in this passage? In what ways can you adopt this same attitude towards others?

Could the Church be different if we learned to walk in unity? How would this impact the rest of the world?

Take some time and pray to our Heavenly Father. Ask Him to show you the areas of your life where you can grow alongside others and also the areas where you can help others grow in their faith.
