Elders are a group of qualified men who hold an official office under Jesus in the church.

An elder’s public ministry is backed up by his private character.

Elders model Christian maturity and are to be followed and imitated, not because they are perfect, but because they exhibit Christlike attributes.

3) What does an elder do?

1) Elders teach.

2) Elders shepherd the flock.
