Welcome to Waymaker Church! We are so excited to have you join us today! We exist to Encounter, Live for, and Advance the Kingdom of God!
hey
This morning I am going to share with you part 2 of the revelation the Lord gave me concerning the storehouse. Last week I worked to lay the foundation scripturally for the storehouse of God. As we looked at Deuteronomy 28:10-12 we saw that the Lord wanted to open His good treasure to His people.

‌The Hebrew word used for His good treasure means storehouse. Which is a reservoir, depository, stockpile, house of treasure or wealth, an armory— a place to store tools for battle, the treasury of heaven such as gold, silver, etc.

‌I shared with you in the closing of my message last week that the name Almighty God in English is the name El Shaddai in Hebrew.

‌El Shaddai means “The many Breasted one,” or “the All Sufficient One”. He is the God who is enough. He is more than sufficient to meet any need. He is power and provision. In great compassion, He sustains, nourishes and protects us. He takes our weakness and gives us strength. He takes our inadequate resource and in His sufficiency uses them for His great and powerful purposes.

‌The general sense that I had from the revelation God gave me is that many people are bound by the limits of self-sufficiency. The urge was to shift our focus from what we can do, to what HE CAN DO. He has storehouses of provision waiting. He has a great desire to pour them out, but He wants us to stop looking at ourselves and start looking to Him in a greater way.

‌Today, I want to share with you how we access the storehouse of God.

Release from the storehouse is dispensed through relationship with the Holy Spirit.
As we saw last week, God has prepared and stored up a multitude of resources for us. I used the illustration of a Dam and Sluice gate. It is the Holy Spirit who is the operator of the sluice gate on the dam. He is the one who searches all things including the deep things of God.

Jesus said in, John 16:14 “He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.”

The Holy Spirit takes of what Jesus possess, and He releases it to us from the storehouse of God. Now understand this, the purpose of the release from the storehouse of God is to bring glory to Jesus.

The message of the Gospel is about Him, and His glory. All things are leading up to what we see in Revelation 1:17–18 “And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”

It is about the moment we see in Revelation 5:1-14.
The release of the storehouse emphasizes the greatness of His glory. That He alone is worthy. The release from God’s storehouse leads us deeper into relationship with Him. As He provides and meets our needs it releases our praise and thanksgiving back to Him for who He is and what He has done. The cycle of blessing and praise creates a deeper and more intimate relationship with the Lord.

The extent of the release from the storehouse is tied to the depth of the relationship we have with the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,”

God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, beyond what we ask or think, but the extent is limited by the power that works within us. The power at work in us is the power of the Holy Spirit. Our series on Proverbs indicated the initial step is the fear of the Lord.

Remember, the fear of the Lord is not being afraid of God. It is a reverential awe for who He is. When we carry the awe of God, we will see the goodness and provision of God.

Psalm 31:19 “Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men!”

The fear of the Lord leads us to a place of reverent trust in the Lord. He becomes our source and supply. When we place our trust in Him, He through the Holy Spirit releases to us the things that we need.
Remember, He is a good Father and knows the difference between need and greed.

God works all things together for our good. He uses all things to teach, instruct, and mature our lives. For example, it is possible for God to use a situation where we feel like we lack materially. We can think the answer to the perceived lack is to get more.

In the wisdom of God that may not be what is needed. Maybe we more than enough and have become discontent.

Obviously, that is not always the case, but as a point of reference it is important to solidify that we do not see God merely as a Christian vending machine.
How do we access what God has stored up?
As I said a moment ago, the storehouse of God is not about a heavenly vending machine. It is a place of overflow and abundance that is released through intimacy. Wisdom, healing, provision, favor do not come simply because we want them to. They are accessed through relationship with the Holy Spirit.

To access the storehouse of God we must learn to sow to the Spirit. Galatians 6:8 “For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”
How do we sow to the Spirit? Through the cultivation of Christlike nature in us. It is where through the renewal of the mind we move from self-indulgence and self-gratification to freedom in Christ. The seeds we sow are linked to our thoughts and actions.

Paul instructs us in Ephesians 4:22–24 “that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.”

We sow to the Spirit by no longer letting our sinful nature control our minds. We cultivate and nurture our relationship with the Holy Spirit through obedience to the word, and prayer.

The result of the cultivation and nurture is seen in the fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22–23. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”

The evidence of the fruit comes from the storehouse of God. It is given through the inner working of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

To sow to the Spirit, we must feed on the word of God, and be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. The revelation and resource of the kingdom flows through the Holy Spirit to us. If we will learn to live with an awareness of the Holy Spirit in our lives, He will take the resources of heaven and poor them out in every area our lives.

The blessing of God stored up for the child of God covers every area of human need, but more than that it carries with it God’s anointing. God desires to bless His people with the divine ability to prosper so that they might

God desires to bless you in your spiritual life, He wants you filled with the Holy Ghost, walking in the love of God, overflowing with the joy of the Lord, manifesting the fruit of the Spirit, as well as, flowing in the gifts of the spirit and demonstrating the power of God. I believe that He wants health in your body and increase in your finances so that there is more than enough.

What then is the blessing and provision for?
First, I believe it is for you to thrive in your relationship with Him. That you would know firsthand the goodness and kindness of God.
Second, He wants to use your life as a conduit of blessing to others. The blessing and provision of God is about overflow.
The nature of the storehouse of God and a blessed life is seen through the life of generosity. The storehouse is accessed through relationship with the Holy Spirit. The effect of that access is a blessed life.

In the Hebrew, blessing is a state of being that is totally separate from temporal situations or circumstances. It is a position that is independent from the immediate environment.

The overflow of a blessed life is found in the one who is happily generous. The generous person knows where the source of the provision comes from. It comes from the one who is able to make all grace abound towards us. The one who will cause us to have all sufficiency in all things, and more than that an abundance for every good work.

God wants to pour out his provision in our life so that we can enjoy good in our life, and simultaneously be prepared to release provision to others.

As I studied and prepared this week, I realized that the revelation of the storehouse is attached to a recent word from the Lord concerning an anointing that He is placing on the house to advance the kingdom. In order to advance, we will without question need a vibrant connected relationship with Holy Spirit, and the resources of heaven to advance kingdom purposes forward.

The dream and revelation revealed the key ingredients we need in order to be successful moving forward. Our individual gifts and talents are insufficient to have the impact that God desires through our lives. If we will step away from self-provisioning and learn reliance upon the Holy Spirit, we will be connected to an endless supply.

Today, lets fully place our trust in the Lord and cultivate a vibrant relationship with the Holy Spirit.
