IT'S THE YEAR OF DUNAMIS!
It's the year to strengthen and fortify!
- It's not too late for you to grab a hold of this prophetic word over your life!

-Out of bondage in Egypt, in the wilderness for 40 years (although the journey to the Promised Land was only an 11-day journey) fed manna and quail.
-Led by Moses
-10 Commandments
-The Exodus generation passes away, Moses teaches new generation the laws and ways of God (Deuteronomy)
-Joshua is Moses’ assistant because God appointed him to. He served him everywhere he went.
-Joshua was a man led by the Spirit of God and loved God's presence. He would guard the tent of meeting and Exodus 33 tells us that he would not depart from the tent!
-Joshua was a man committed to obedience. He, with Caleb, we’re the only two spies out of 12 who said the land was exceedingly good as God told them!
-Moses dies, and here we are in Joshua 1 where God commissions Joshua to take the land.

TAKING THE LAND TAKES EFFORT - IT REQUIRES TREADING ON THE GROUND GIVEN TO THEM.
God could have eliminated every enemy, but He didn’t. But He told them they would be victorious. He wanted Israel to partner with Him in victory.
This required a group of people who were not content with Egypt, not content with bondage, but leaning into everything the Lord had for them.

TREAD means to walk in a specified way.
to walk, to step, to march, to trample (crush)

I heard the Lord say, “as you tread into the building, you are walking into inheritance.”
THIS IS WHY YOU FASTED FOR REVERENCE!!!!

God’s charge in Joshua 1, written three times is this — ONLY BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS
- When God says something once, you want to pay attention. But what is God saying when He says it three times?! We better not miss it!

STRONG - ḥāzaqkhaw-zak’
- to strengthen, prevail, harden, be strong, become strong, be courageous, be firm, grow firm, be resolute, be sore

COURAGEOUS -'āmēṣaw-mates’)
- to be strong, alert, courageous, brave, stout, bold, solid, hard
- to be determined, to make oneself alert, strengthen oneself, confirm oneself,
persist in, prove superior to
- TO BE ALERT, FIRM, STRONG the alertness of the feet, to be strong in the
feet, swift-footed

Waco, as you tread the lord highlighted to me —

THE ENEMY’S TACTICS TO KEEP YOU FROM BEING STRONG AND COURAGEOUS:

1. INTIMIDATION
-The enemy's goal of intimidation is for you to give into fear and shrink back rather than obey the Lord!
-The word 'timid' is placed in the middle of this word, 'intimidation'!
-Where God is calling His people to obedience, intimidation seems to come like a flood to overwhelm, disqualify, and get God's people to give up.

THIS IS WHAT INTIMIDATION SOUNDS LIKE:
-You aren’t qualified for this - you don't have the experience. You are too young, too old.
-You shouldn’t share your testimony - what will people think of you! The enemy will bring up your past to intimidate you with shame instead of giving glory to God!
-You’ve never done this before, just quit now.
-Someone else can do this instead of you.
-It would be a lot easier if you quit.

TESTIMONY OF INTIMIDATION
Expose fear of man
Advocacy

Be aware, the spirit of intimidation wants you to give up, to fear man more than fearing God, and to never obey the call of God!

Because they feared man or loved the glory that comes from man more than loving the glory that comes from God, they stood under the yoke of intimidation that prevented them from using their voice and confessing their belief in Jesus.

YOU ARE GOING FROM A TENT OF MEETING TO A HOUSE OF GLORY
-Intimidation and fear of man has to because the prophetic word over Waco is GLORY!

Report of the Spies

IT'S EASY TO HEAR GOD IN HIS PRESENCE!

The spies saw themselves as grasshoppers, Caleb saw the giants as bread!

PROPHETIC REMINDER:
NO MORE TWO STEPS FORWARD AND ONE STEP BACK!

“This is the year that God gets your best. Every act of obedience strengthens you.”

2. DOUBT
-DOUBT is a feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction, hesitation, or unbelief

-If you have played sports, you know the importance of not hesitating. If you aren’t in certainty of your steps, you will hurt yourself or others.

-I believe this is why the Lord is highlighting doubt. If you have unbelief while you tread, you will injure yourself.

DOUBT - dee-ak-ree'-no in the Greek
1. to separate, make a distinction, discriminate, to prefer
2. to learn by discrimination, to try, decide
3. to determine, give judgment, decide a dispute
4. to withdraw from one, desert
5. to separate oneself in a hostile spirit, to oppose, strive with dispute, contend
6. to be at variance with oneself, hesitate, doubt

As I was praying, I heard the Lord say this is what Doubt is like — “YOU ASK, BUT DON’T RECEIVE” You can’t receive when you separate yourself!

MOSES

MOSES DOUBTS GOD AND DOES NOT BELIEVE IN HIM.

In Exodus 17, God tells Moses to strike the rock and water came forth. This time he told him to speak to it!

The result of Moses’ disobedience is found in Deuteronomy 32–

THE ENEMY WILL TEMPT YOU TO DOUBT IN GOD'S STRENGTH, SO YOU RELY ON YOUR OWN.
-not by might nor by power, but by His Spirit!

What do we do with our doubt? (all of us have dealt with doubt)

Pray and ask God,“Help me with my unbelief!”

SHIELD OF FAITH MESSAGE - your faith as small as a mustard seed is FAITH! If you have faith in Jesus, that’s all it takes to have faith! You don’t need faith for some healing, some business, some breakthrough, some promise- you just need faith in Jesus! Jesus brings everything else!

PROPHETIC REMINDER:
You will be fortified in your faith! You will be people of the Spirit and people of the Word!
The word of God, the Bible, will strengthen you. The enemy tricking you with “did God really say?” will no longer work on you. For you will know what is written and you will know God’s word
You will be strengthened by the word, by reading it, and by memorizing it.

As I prayed, I heard even past promises and oaths that you made to God, this year you go back and keep. This is a year you won’t make things happen in your own strength. It will be a year of DUNAMIS power of his strength.“You will do less and I will do more.”
I saw some of you like David. You tried it your way, and now it’s time to do it God’s way.

NO MORE DOUBT!
ONLY BE STRONG AND VERY COURAGEOUS- BEING CAREFUL TO DO ACCORDING TO ALL THAT GOD HAS COMMANDED YOU. DO NOT TURN FROM IT TO THE RIGHT HAND OR TO THE LEFT, THAT YOU MAY HAVE GOOD SUCCESS WHEREVER YOU GO!

3. DISMAY
-sudden loss of courage or resolution from alarm or fear
-sudden disappointment

Dismay is a strong feeling of fear, worry, or sadness that is caused by something unpleasant and unexpected.

BE NOT DISMAYED - shaw-aw' IN HEBREW
1. to gaze at, regard, behold, look about
2. (Hiphil) to look away, cause gaze to turn away
3. (Hithpael) to look in dismay, gaze about (in anxiety)

I'm not saying that unpleasant and unexpectant things won’t come your way.

BUT HOW YOU RESPOND MATTERS! DO YOU LOOK AT HIM OR DO YOU LOOK AWAY.?

ONLY BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS! , because when you look at Him in the face of the unexpected to have---

peace beyond understanding
joy that doesn’t make sense
love for people that hate you
patience where you didn’t before
kindness
goodness
faithfulness
self control

COURAGEOUS - 'āmēṣ (aw-mates’)
-to be strong, alert, courageous, brave, stout, bold, solid, hard
-to be determined, to make oneself alert, strengthen oneself, confirm oneself, persist in, prove superior to
-TO BE ALERT, FIRM, STRONG the alertness of the feet, to be strong in the feet, swift-footed

PROPHETIC REMINDER:
“I heard this in my spirit “Joy is our warfare. Joy is our Weapon” I saw you strengthening yourself in prayer, strengthening yourself in prayer in the spirit. Strengthening yourself in worship and in joy. I saw this year your enemies will be scattered. I saw this year the enemies thought they were picking a fight with you, but they were actually picking a fight with God. I heard the Lord say these battles have not been personal, these battles have been spiritual. I saw us dancing our way into Dunamis and through DUNAMIS. I saw joy as our weapon.”

BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS don’t be dismayed. He is with you- look to him.

Mercy Culture Waco, He has given you Dunamis to tread. You ONLY have to be strong and courageous! THIS COMES FROM DAILY ENCOUNTERING HIM!

As I prayed for you, I heard the Lord say some of you have been only focused on the promised land- But God is focused on your tread.
EVERY PLACE THAT THE SOLE OF YOUR FOOT WILL TREAD UPON, HE GIVES TO YOU!

This is how Israel transitions into the Promise land

Don't be so consumed with where you're going that you miss the importance of the daily obedience in the tread!!!
