Gifts for Magnolia Manor residents: Magnolia Manor needs shampoo, body wash, and socks for their Angel Tree. Please bring items to church by next Sunday so that our kids can take them to Magnolia Manor when they go caroling! Thank you!

Cookies and Cocoa for Gals of All Ages!

Ladies, please join us for cookie decorating, hot chocolate, and fellowship, on Saturday, December 16th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. here at WEBC, hosted by Sharon Bannister, Cindy Ballard, and Olivia Baker. Please RSVP to Sharon by December 10th at 864-901-9917. Hope to see you there!

Benevolence Offering

Benevolence Offering: As is our custom on the first Sunday of the month, following the worship service, we will receive an offering for our benevolence ministry. These funds go to help the neediest members of our community.

GPS Children’s Program, every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m., here at WEBC!

Through teaching, music, and games, kids age 3 and up learn about the Gospel, God, the Bible, and having good relationships with Jesus Christ and with others. We all need some direction in our lives today - especially our children. To volunteer, see Mark Foster.

Home Group/Study Questions
These questions are provided for your further study and application of today’s sermon. Thoughtfully writing out the answers to these questions will help to drive home the truths we are learning.

1. Was there any passage of scripture or statement in the message today that was particularly meaningful or applicable to you?

2. The Wonder of the Incarnation: Read Micah 5:2, John 1:1-4, Philippians 2:5-8, and Colossians 1:16-17. The wonder of Christmas is that the God of eternity past, our creator, stepped into time (born of a virgin), in order to redeem us. Not a prophet, not a teacher, not a model or example, but God himself. What would you say to one who denies that Jesus is God?

3. Read Luke 1:26-38 and 1:46-55. How is Mary portrayed in this passage? How would you describe her to a child? What hope does this give us that God has a purpose and calling for our lives as well?

4. Read Romans 5:18-19. Adam was created from dust without a sinful nature, and when he sinned, all his descendants are sinners. Jesus was born from heaven with perfect righteousness, and only through his obedience can we be saved. How essential is the doctrine of the Virgin Birth, and why is it a key tenet of the Christian faith?

Giving Online

Giving cheerfully and sacrificially of our finances is part of our worship. (2 Corinthians 9:7; Proverbs 3:9; Malachi 3:10) We thank those who have helped us fulfill our mission and vision, and we ask you to pray that all of the giving to West End Baptist Church would be used to glorify God in carrying out His will as Scripture instructs and the Holy Spirit leads.
