Over the next few weeks, we are going to be hearing a lot about JOY. It is the theme of the season! But, what is Joy and how do we experience it in more than a song or greeting? How do we ensure that Joy spreads beyond the Christmas season?
What is Joy? Too often we equate Joy with happiness and while the 2 may be connected, happiness is circumstantial while Joy is a MINDSET. How do these 2 verses support this distinction? 2 Corinthians 13:11 and Philippians 4:4?
Pastor Johnathan said that "happiness is more on the surface while Joy comes from a deeper place". How have you seen evidence of this in your faith journey?
What is the connection between JOY and HOPE?
Joy is a partnership between God and you. God gives us the opportunity but we must practice it. Read Romans 15:13 and Galatians 5:22-23. How can these 2 verses help us grow that partnership?
Take some time and pray to our Heavenly Father. Ask Him to reveal the ways that you can grow this partnership.
