2 Chron. 20:20 ...Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

1 Tim. 1:18 ...war a good warfare from the prophecies which went before on thee

1.You will be challenged :

a.to believe the Bible

b. or be moved by your circumstances

2 Kings 6:24 - And it came to pass after this, that Ben-hadad king of Syria gathered all his host, and went up, and besieged Samaria.

2. Syria is attacking Israel again.

2 Kings 6:25 - this caused a famine

3.People turned to eating :

a. donkey heads, cost of $ 200/ head

b. doves dung = slang for field greens

2 Kings 6:26-29 - Times were so desperate they turned to cannibalism.

4.Then Elisha the prophet shows up.

2 Kings 7:1 - Eliisha prophecies that a turn around will come overnight

2 Kings 7:2 - A kings geberal became skeptical

a. and doubted Elisha

5.So Elisha said this guy would not see it happen

6.Notice the voice of an unbeliever.

a.“ there’s no way, I don’t see it happening...”

7.He disqualified himself because of his unbelief.

a. how ?

b.because he was trying to make sense of the situation

8.When God speaks to you in a prophetic manner the:

a.exact opposite of what was said will be take place first

b.to get you to believe it will never happen

9. Now, let’s get some truths here:

Isaiah 55:9 -God’s ways are higher

10.We need to think like God thinks so we can understand His ways

Rom. 10:17 - So then faith cometh by hearing..

11.The Word that is preached:

a.is not designed to make sense

b.it is designed to make faith

Rom. 10:14...how shall they hear without a preacher?

12. You can’t HEAR faith

a. unless you have a preacher

b.a good preacher will bring down to you God’s higher ways

c. because your flesh and mind is not supposed to be telling you what to do

Eze. 43:10
Thou son of man, shew the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities: and let them measure the pattern.

13.He is telling us to see what kind of condition we are actually in.

Ezek. 43:11
And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house...

14.It says “ if they be ashamed of all that they have done “.

Ezek. 43:12 - tells us everything about God’s house should be holy

a .holiness comes before the glory

15.If we are willing to get to that place of holiness, the glory will fall.

16. Our first problem.

a. we don’t have many disciples

b. we have converts.

17. What’s the difference?

Convert - a person whose religious beliefs are bringing about change.

18. But, they are still in the changing process, struggling, flopping in and falling out.

Disciple - someone who accepts and adheres to the doctrines of the bible.

19. A convert thinks about going to church,

a. a disciple goes

b.a convert considers tithing,

c. a disciple does so without hesitation

d.a convert may volunteer if they have time and don’t mind what they are volunteering for,

e.a disciple does so cheerfully out of duty and obligation without a second thought

f. a convert wants to be recognized,

g. a disciple is willing to be sacrificed

h. converts struggle with believing

i.a disciple trusts completely

j. a convert watches the clock,

k.a disciple watches looks for Him

20. That’s why many are not getting a breaking through.

21.Either your changing the world or the world is changing you.

22. The 2nd thing that needs fixing is your financial mentality.

23.The people in church have one of three mind sets in finances.

Ex. 16:4 - Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

24. God was going to rain down a certain rate of manna every day.

Exo. 16:16-18 - they had no lack; they gathered according to their needs.

25.Every person was supernaturally taken care of.

Exo. 16:19-21 - Some didn’t listen because they didn’t trust God’s ability to provide.

Mind set #1- “ Running Out Mentality“

Matt. 14:15-21 - disciples said they only had a few fishes and loaves

27. The next mind set has a tendency to say....

Mind set #2-” all we have is ......”

Mark 6:35-44 - feed multitudes

a. disciples said there was not enough

Mind set #3“ Not Enough Mentality “

a.because you don’t see, hear or feel anything...

b.you make logical decisions instead of prayerful considerations

Matt. 6:24 - No man can serve two masters:

28. The majority of you have taken jobs based upon what it pays,

a.not in what your gifted in

b.you have replaced God for being obligated to provide for you

c.and end up working at a place that hinders your gifts and callings

Matt. 6:25-34 - take no thought for tomorrow /life

29.When an assault of fear comes,

a. or a lean season has begun.....

30.God wants you to refocus

a.and get a clarity of your calling and goals

b.your job has nothing to do with your prosperity

Matt. 6:33 - make your assignment first, then provision comes ....

31.We either believe or we don’t.

32. Our mentality of “ running out “ or “ that’s all I have “ has been your blessing blocker.

33.Many of you have sown faithfully and have questioned

a. “ Lord, where is the harvest...”

34.He said “ I have hidden their harvest so satan can’t steal it ! “

a.I told Him I needed chapter and verse for that answer........

Isaiah 45:3
And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

35. This has multiple applications, both for souls and finances

36. Now the good news!

Isaiah 61:7 (NLT)
Instead of shame and dishonor, you will enjoy a double share of honor. You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.
