Crossing the Finish Line of Faith!

How are you? Really? You don’t have to answer, I just want you to think about it? You’ve been walking by Faith, you’ve been believing God to meet your needs, but for some of you the results have been slow in coming. You started it off coming in Hot but now time settles in. Some of you have been fighting for days, weeks, months and even years, where it seems there’s no end in sight. It’s not been the instant or the miraculous answers you were expecting so now you are disappointed and have given up, quit, retreated, doing your own thing again, gotten off course.

Today you might be asking yourself; Is it over? Can I ever get back on track? Can I get back on the track of Faith and finish my race? The answer is Yes you can! It’s never over until you win! Today I want to encourage you to Cross the Finish Line of Faith!

POINT 1: Make a Decision today!

Make a decision to get back up! Do not quit, let go, or back down. Fix your eyes on Jesus.

This is not the time to retreat.

God’s grace never quits…so why have you?

But the unrighteous are brought down by just one calamity and will never be able to rise again.

Point 2: Resist the devil.

Don’t give into his lies or deception.

It takes spiritual effort to stand and resist him.

Remind him of his defeat.

Refuse to receive or give thought to anything the devil throws your way.

POINT 3: Give your full undivided attention to the Word of God

Low word level = Low faith level! This is why many fall away.

The word of God is a weapon

When you read and study the word you’re reading your battle plan, but you have to study and know how to use your weapon.

The word defeats any enemy, foe, situation or circumstance.

The word of God turns your failures into success as you obey

Point 4: Praise God

They had a midnight deliverance in their seemingly darkest hour God showed up.

They never let the jailhouse rock faze their faith in God.

Point 5: Pray for others.

When you have done all, you can Stand!

Your love for others is demonstrated when you pray for them.

You need healing a miracle pray for someone else to be healed/for their miracle.

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available.

Point 6: Cross the Finish Line

Conclusion:

When in a track meet track stars frequently have to jump (overcome hurdles/obstacles in order to cross the finish line toward victory. If you notice they never stop, never quit, when facing them they just jump over them. Some of you are running the 100 meters of faith =short distance; some of you are running the 400meters of faith = it takes a minute to finish and some of you are running the marathon faith-where it takes a long long time. You might not be a track star, but you are a Faith star. You always Win! In the short distance you win, in the sprint you win, and in the (marathon)long distance you win. You win no matter what; so, stick your chest out, stick your neck out and cross the finish line of Faith to your victory.

So regardless of where you are on the faith track don’t let the hurdles of life stop you. Jump over them, go around them, if you can’t go around them go under if you can’t go under step aside of them. Do whatever you need to do to Finish, to Win! Lay hold to eternal life and receive all the promises of God.
