Message Series: The Quest
Today's Message: A Yoda You Should Be
Scripture: Proverbs 4:10-13 & Deuteronomy 6:4-9
1. Create A Legacy Plan
a.) Make sure your relationships with all of your children and family members are loving and healthy
b.) Communicate. Communicate. Communicate
2. Teach Your Children What You Have Learned
Growth Guide & Personal Reflection Questions
1. How have you experienced God’s goodness over the past week? What are you thankful for today? What are you praising God for in your life?
2. What spoke to you from Sunday’s message? What was your main takeaway?
3. Read Chapter 5 of “The Quest” as you consider the following questions.
4. Did your parents teach you well about handling money? What is your biggest struggle when it comes to managing money? What specifically can you do to keep from passing that weakness on to your children?
5. Do you have a legacy plan? If not, why? Do you have a hard time talking about end-of-life issues? If so, can you be specific about why that is? Can you talk to someone who might help you overcome your hesitation?
6. If you have younger children, name some things you're currently doing that are designed to help them learn how to manage money wisely. Are there other things you could do? How diligent are you when it comes to seizing spontaneous moments that come up throughout the day? Can you commit to being more attentive to these opportunities?
7. We are now finished with “The Quest” series. What are the one or two main things you will work on when it comes to honoring God with your finances?
