· Called to be free. (Galatians 5:13)
· Called to embrace hope. (Ephesians 1:18)

“So often we place so much emphasis on human weakness, on our inability to do anything profitable, and on the necessity of God’s actions in salvation that no room is left for human responsibility. The NT never gives this impression! We must expect something of ourselves. We want discipleship without discipline; it does not exist… the challenge is to do what we should, to live worthy of the call.”

“Too often, the church is noted for what it is against rather than what it is for. Untold damage has been done to the church’s reputation through infighting and divisions among self-professed believers. Personal preferences and interpretations of Scripture have dominated the time, energy, and resources of the body of Christ while the important ministry matters have often been sidelined because of it. Any hope of revival and renewal in the church will require a refocusing on the things that unite us as believers according to God’s word.
“Paul lists 7 essentials of oneness that must be constantly affirmed by all believers to facilitate and maintain unity of the church family. These are truths that need to be the basis of what we all agree on and declare. As you work through this list, reflect on each reality of oneness that unites you and your church family and assess and write down how you support it.”
“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 4:4-6.
