Our next meeting is Monday, October 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at WEBC. We’re studying “Right Where You’re Supposed To Be: A Study of the Book of Esther” in the First 5 app. Contact the church office for more details.

GPS for Kids

GPS Children’s Program, every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m., here at WEBC! Through teaching, music, and games, kids age 3 and up learn about the Gospel, God, the Bible, and having good relationships with Jesus Christ and with others. We all need some direction in our lives today - especially our children. To volunteer, see Mark Foster. To register your kids, click the link!

Giving Online

Giving cheerfully and sacrificially of our finances is part of our worship. (2 Corinthians 9:7; Proverbs 3:9; Malachi 3:10) We thank those who have helped us fulfill our mission and vision, and we ask you to pray that all of the giving to West End Baptist Church would be used to glorify God in carrying out His will as Scripture instructs and the Holy Spirit leads.

Home Group/Study Questions
These questions are provided for your further study and application of today’s sermon. Thoughtfully writing out the answers to these questions will help to drive home the truths we are learning.
1. Was there any passage of scripture or statement in the message today that was particularly meaningful or applicable to you?

2. Read Psalm 62:1-8. What does it mean to “trust in Him at all times?” What effect does trusting in Him continually have on our attitudes and behaviors? How can you grow in trusting God at all times?

3. In today’s text (1 Thessalonians 3) where do you see Paul’s “sacred dissatisfaction?” Explain the following statement: “Every Christian is a profound mixture of happy satisfaction and healthy dissatisfaction.” Describe the contentment that comes from knowing Jesus. In what areas is the Holy Spirit prompting you with sacred dissatisfaction?

4. Read Philippians 3:12 - 15. How does Paul express both settled contentment and sacred dissatisfaction in this passage?

5. Read 1 Thessalonians 3:7-9. What is the source of Paul’s joy? In what aspects of your life are you experiencing the most joy?
