Dirty Work - Anticipating the Harvest

Dirty Work - Anticipating the Harvest

“Dirty Work” involves preparing the soil, planting seeds, watering the plants, and pulling the weeds. Our previous conversation helped shape our personal approach to sharing the good news of Jesus in natural, organic ways - recognizing the practical and messy parts of putting our faith into action. What we often fail to recognize is the Holy Spirit’s work in the process - preparing the hearts of the listener as well as the heart of story teller. Part 2 of “Dirty Work” will equip us to do our part - to bear kingdom fruit - Let’s anticipate the harvest!

Bearing Kingdom Fruit Part 1:
What's Next? The Holy Spirit will close and open doors so you can on tracxk with his plans to reach your family and friends. Take time daily this week to surrender your schedule and plans to the leading of the Spirit. Ask God to give you eyes to see and ears to hear; if He gives specific direction or opens a door, resolve to follow Him through it. Also, if God has opened a door but you are anxious or fearful about walking through it, commit to take that first step as soon as the next opportunity comes.
Bearing Kingdom Fruit Part 2:
Go to Battle. Identify where satan is on the attack against efforts or against someone you are trying to reach with the gospel. Partner with the Holy Spirit as you pray Ephesians 6:10-18, seeking power to resist and to stand against. As satan flees, thank God and press forward in the dirty work to which God is leading.
