Remind yourself regularly of where God has brought you from to where you are today. Thank him every time you think about it.

Work at keeping everything you do with your life in the context of God’s purpose for you so that you will stay kingdom focused. Make a list of current situations and do this exercise.

When you find yourself in a difficult situation, say the words ‘But God’ as an act of faith and talk to God about your need of his divine intervention. Are you facing one of those today?

During the times you are frustrated with your less than perfect attitudes and actions, remind yourself that God is not finished working on you and you will get better at it.

Constantly keep your eternal perspective in view and you will add to your sense of security because you know who you are and what purpose your life has in Christ.
