Foundation Scripture: Mark 11:22-24 KJV

Prayer Points:

1. Speak the Word of God and not the Problem.

2. Stand firm on the Promises of God, despite the storm.

3. Take your breakthrough by faith, NOW!

4. IMPACTFUL SUNDAY SERVICES

Paul, after sharing the sufferings he has experienced and now back in prison, composes this list of all his accomplishments and the credentials to his name. Notice that the focus is on 2 timelines, the past and the future. What he does about both is being determined in the ‘now

Paul expresses what should be our attitude, “…run with passion into HIS abundance so that I (we) may reach the purpose for which Christ Jesus laid hold of me (us) to make me (us) HIS own.

Focusing on fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives is optimum faith. HIS abundance is tied to our faith in pursuing HIS purpose for our lives.

Our mindset is essential to the growth and development of our faith and patience.

Our mindset can deter or accelerate us towards the manifestation based on the faith decisions we make NOW.

We learned that mentally ascending does not equal faith.

We learned that the faith journey towards God’s manifestation involves many behaviors:

1. Studying the Word of God
2. Processing
3. Confession
4. Patience

But what happens in that “Processing”? We are establishing a “faith-based mindset.

3 mindset adoptions must include.

(1) our strength does not equal God’s strength.
(2) leave the past behind
(3) faithful focus.

These are mindsets that will continue to feed your freedom and growth from the insecurities, distractions, and unhealthy “default” behaviors that easily creep into our best intentions during our faith journey via patience.

Let’s learn more about these 3 essential mindsets:

1. " I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this…”.

We were never created to live life without God and even much more since sin entered the earth.

To not know the purpose of a creation inevitably leads to abuse. — Pastor Gregory

Human faith + mental ability = ambition

Ambition - a strong desire to do or to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work.

Many successes have been accomplished because of sheer ambition.

Although nothing is wrong with ambition, failure to recognize God working in our pursuits, healings, deliverance, and restoration puts one in the dangerous position of consequences on the back end like broken relationships, loneliness, anxiety, stress, illness, etc.

2. “…however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past… “

Our history oftentimes invites us to be distracted from our faith journey because it’s easy to go back to our “default” settings.

For those who struggle with letting go of past pain or regret, they can feel trapped by their situation and unable to move forward in their lives. Feeling unable to let go of the past can lead to clinical depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), or even suicide.

Can’t look back while trying to move forward.

Lot’s wife not only “looked back” to where her interests and experiences were, but perhaps lingered behind reluctant to forever depart what had been such a significant part of who she was; her dead body likely became continually encrusted with salt since this disaster occurred in the salt-rich area around the Dead Sea. She became committed to her past.
