2. What spoke to you from Sunday’s message? What was your main takeaway?
3. Read Chapter 4 of “The Quest” as you consider the following questions.
4. Have your thoughts about giving and receiving changed since you were a child? If so, how? What (or who) do you think is responsible for that change?
5. If you have not been a generous giver up to this point, can you pinpoint why? Are you materialistic? Do you fear the uncertainty of the future? What role should your faith play in helping you work through these obstacles to generous giving?
6. In what category would you put yourself: non-giver, giver, generous giver, or radical giver? Can you think of a time when you felt moved to go above and beyond your normal giving without being asked?
7. Have you been an excuse-maker when it comes to giving? When the subject of giving comes up, are you quick to mention all the reasons why it's hard for you right now? Have you made promises to do better without actually ever doing better?
8. How would you rate yourself when it comes to giving consistently? Does your giving tend to fluctuate according to your emotions or your bank's balance? Can you think of some tools you aren't taking advantage of that would help you be a better giver?
