Wearing Dunamis: Belt of Truth
Acts 21:8-14 ESV
8On the next day we departed and came to Caesarea, and we entered the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, and stayed with him. 9He had four unmarried daughters, who prophesied. 10While we were staying for many days, a prophet named Agabus came down from Judea. 11And coming to us, he took Paul’s belt and bound his own feet and hands and said, “Thus says the Holy Spirit, ‘This is how the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”12When we heard this, we and the people there urged him not to go up to Jerusalem. 13Then Paul answered, “What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be imprisoned but even to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” 14And since he would not be persuaded, we ceased and said, “Let the will of the Lord be done.”

Ephesians 6:10-18
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Spiritual Warfare). 13Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.14Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.16In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,

Understanding Ephesians
- Paul is authoring a letter to the Church of Ephesus.

Minor by Augustus (27 bc—ad 14).
- Paul taught daily there for two years (Acts 19-20).

Spiritual Warfare
Spiritual warfare is challenging for unspiritual people because they can only fight what they can carnally see.

10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
“be strong = endunamoó (en-doo-nam-o'-o) “to “empower”, I fill with power, strengthen, make strong.”
“Strong” = His Dunamis power is transferred to you!
Spiritual warfare is fighting spiritual forces NOT people!
If you’re fighting people you’re already losing in spiritual warfare!
PRACTICAL ADVICE: When you’re experiencing spiritual warfare, quit focusing on people!
You’re NOT your own worst enemy!

12The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.
The Christian armor is made to be worn; and there is no taking off our armor till we have done our warfare, and finished our course.

There is a demonic attack (spiritual resistance) on truth!
John 8:44-45 ESV
44You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me.
Genesis 3:1-4 BSB
1Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field that the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden?’” 2The woman answered the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden, 3but about the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden (knowledge of Good and evil), God has said, ‘You must not eat of it or touch it, or you will die.’” 4“You will not surely die,” the serpent told her. 5“For God knows that in the day you eat of it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

1. Universalism
Its a demonic doctrine that offers freedom but brings bondage and spiritual death
- Does not believe the Bible is infallible (incapable of
making
mistakes or being wrong:) and absolute truth!
- It's a human projection of religious love.
- Universalism doesn’t believe Jesus is divine & rejects
the need of salvation for sin.
- It believes people are good and everyone gets saved
without repentance.
- Universalism is birthed in rebellion & fueled by
witchcraft.
- It uses Christian words and biblical concepts to draw
people into its counterfeit theology.

2. A Religious Spirit
A Religious Spirit is when you welcome every spirit but the
Holy Spirit
- The Religious Spirit puts rules and barriers between
man and God.
- They try to make hard and complicated what God made
Easy.
- The spirit of Religion is mean and hateful.
- They hate sin and the sinner!
- The Religious Spirt resists the move of the Holy Spirit
like the pharisees resisted Jesus.
- It has an appearance of Godliness but denies the
power Of God.

3. Wokesim
A lukewarm Christianity that’s love for the world is greater than their love for
- It loves the world and tries to be loved by the world.
(John 15:19 ESV)
- This is a “Spirit of this Age” (2 Cor 4:4 ESV)
“The Spirit Of The Age Is What The Culture IS
Worshipping!”
- It’s a counterfeit justice movement
- Its any social justice that tries to bring Heavenly justice
without God.
- Its fueled by compromise - it removes obedience,
accountability and submission from the Cristian
vocabulary.
- Wokeism is when Christianity becomes popular and
trendy.
- Wokeism is when theology is formed by culture, not
scripture.
- Wokeism is when the world loves you!
- Wokeism has perverted the meaning of love and made
for themselves a false Christianity!

When we embrace the lies of false teaching it separates people from truly knowing Jesus!
