3 THINGS I SEE VERY CLEARLY:
1. THE WORLD IS BECOMING MORE OPEN ABOUT ITS DEFIANCE TO GOD’S PLANS.
2. THE CHURCH DOESN’T LOOK MUCH DIFFERENT THAN THE WORLD.
3. I SEE A MOVEMENT OF GOD IN THE LIVES MEN THAT ARE PASTORS TO FACE THIS CHALLENGE HEAD ON.
1. THE WORLD IS BECOMING MORE OPEN ABOUT ITS DEFIANCE TO GOD’S PLANS.
2. THE CHURCH DOESN’T LOOK MUCH DIFFERENT THAN THE WORLD.
3. I SEE A MOVEMENT OF GOD IN THE LIVES MEN THAT ARE PASTORS TO FACE THIS CHALLENGE HEAD ON.
WE HAVE A CALL FOR THE CHURCH TO RECLAIM ITS POSITION AS A LIGHT ON THE HILL, A BEACON OF HOPE THAT SHOWS ITS DEPENDENCE ON GOD.
IF WE STOP WITH GETTING PEOPLE TO KNOW JESUS (SALVATION), BUT NOT FOLLOW HIM (DISCIPLESHIP) WE’VE MISSED THE HEART OF GOD.
THE CLAIM TODAY IS THAT CHRISTIANITY IS BACKWARDS AND BIGOTED AND WE WOULD BE BETTER OFF WITHOUT IT. BUT THE INTERNAL ROT IS MORE THAN APPARENT NOW. WE HAVE MORE ISSUES OF ADDICTION, VIOLENCE, WARPED VIEWS OF IDENTITY AND SEXUALITY THAN THERE HAVE BEEN IN A VERY LONG TIME.
WHAT IS THE CHURCH’S RESPONSE?
1. IGNORE THE PROBLEMS
2. FOLLOW THE WORLD
3. REALIZE WE ARE IN A BATTLE AND THE ENEMY IS REAL AND ON THE MARCH TO DESTROY US.

WE MUST PICK A SIDE, THERE IS NO MIDDLE GROUND.
THE BATTLE WON’T BE WON IN DC, IN A PICKET LINE OR IN A BOYCOTT OF BUD LIGHT. OUR BATTLE CRY STARTS BY GOING TO OUR KNEES IN SUBMISSION AND SUPPLICATION TO GOD.
WHY DO I STILL STRUGGLE WITH ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION?
WE LIVE IN A BROKEN WORLD, MARRED BY SIN: REMEMBER THE ENEMY THAT SEEKS TO DESTROY.
THE MAJORITY OF OUR BATTLE IS SPIRITUAL. WE ALLOW THE ENEMY TO RUN THROUGH THE GATES AND OVER US.

1. What stood out to most about the message? What did God confirm in your life? What made you uncomfortable? What challenged you the most?
2. Barry said he is seeing three things very clearly. Read the following statements and in your own words explain what each of these three statements mean: 1. The world is becoming more open about its defiance to God’s plans. 2. The church doesn’t look much different than the world. 3. I see a movement of God in the lives men that are pastors to face this challenge head on. How true do you find these three statements and why?

Ephesians 6:12 says, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” We have a call for the Church to reclaim its position as a light on the hill, a beacon of hope that shows its dependence on God. Do find yourself more: ignoring the problem, following the world, or fighting a spiritual battle? If you are fighting a spiritual battle describe why you are actively engaged instead of fitting in or ignoring spiritual things?
4. Read Ephesians 6:10-18. What sin do you see to avoid? What promise, praise, or prayer do you see? What example do you see to follow? What command do you find to obey? What knowledge do you see to obtain?
5. Barry said, “The battle won’t be won in DC, in a picket line or in a boycott of Bud Light. Our battle cry starts by going to our knees in submission and supplication to God.” Take time today and get on your knees and pray for God to cleanse you of all sin and to use your life for him.
