Worship Service - Joel Ch 1 - Repentance

Worship Service - Joel Ch 1 - Repentance

In the book of Joel God brings judgment on his people for their sins and wayward hearts through a plague of Locusts. The prophet Joel understands the locust plague not only as a message to the people about their heart condition, but also as a pattern for a future Day of the Lord. In response to the plague, Joel teaches the people that if they return to the Lord with all their heart in repentance, salvation can be found, and likely blessing. Finally, the book of Joel looks forward to all the great things God is going to do for and with his people now and far into the future once they have returned to him and are made new. As we study Joel, we hope God will draw you to himself through repentance to experience the blessings of salvation and all that he has in store for those that turn to him.
