The words and the wounds of our Fathers run deep, but God has a special way of taking the shattered pieces of our lives and placing them back together.
Never underestimate the DIVINE POWER found in calling out the potential in others.
Your words matter so much.
We must be careful not to give every word equal power. In other words, you better play favorites.
We often associate forgiveness with weakness, like you are somehow rolling over or quitting if you forgive. When actually it’s the complete opposite. Forgiveness is the greatest measurement of your strength.
Never to give up on people!
God never gives up on us. YOUR SONG MATTERS.
Talk It Over
1. Sean said, “Forgiveness is the greatest measurement of your strength.” From you experience what makes it so difficult to forgive others or even ourselves? Compared to unforgiveness what strength is required to forgive? How would you rate your strength to forgive on a scale of red, yellow, green? Why did you pick that level?
2. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” Not all words are created equal. Describe a time in your past where a voice tried stopping you from pursuing your dreams? How did you overcome that voices. What are 2-3 best practices of taking captive your thoughts to Christ?
Sean said, “God has been writing a song in your heart for your lifetime.” What song do you believe God has been writing in you? What verses could become a mantra of that truth for your soul? What are 1-2 next action steps to pursue that dream?
