Key Theme:
There is a dangerous adulteress seeking to turn our eyes from our true love.
Key Application:
Recognize the goal to “come out of her!” and become familiar with this “woman” so you can recognize her and her tactics.
Key Verse:
Revelation 18:4 “Come out of her, my people lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues;”
Key Questions:
1. Talk with each other about how you see this “woman” in our culture? Consider marketing, products, youtube, instagram, the “good life”, etc.
2. Discuss why she is so attractive and hard to resist. Read Romans 7 before hand.
3. How can we as Christians live a balance between recognizing her goals yet not declaring every good gift as sinful? For example is there anything inherently wrong with having an iphone, a nice home, or watching a good movie, or intimacy with your spouse? How do you resist her goals yet engage in these things?
