We are continuing our Legendary series, and this week, we’re taking a closer look at the story of Abraham and Isaac. There is so much in this story that still applies to our lives today.
Read the following scriptures. What was God promising Abraham? Why was this promise so hard for him to believe?

Read Genesis 22:1-8 (NLT). How does this passage illustrate the trust that Abraham had in God?
Read Genesis 22:9-18 (NLT). Why do you think that God even asked Abraham to sacrifice his son, Isaac only to stop him at the last moment?
Pastor Jonathan reminded us that "what God is doing is always bigger than you can imagine''. Much like Abraham, we don't always see the bigger picture. How have you seen this play out in our current culture?
God's journey with people is always about TRUST. God allows situations to help us discover and grow our trust. In what ways have you seen your trust in God grow through difficult times?
Pastor Jonathan said when it comes to faith, "don't just say it, display it". Are there areas in your life where you need to trust God more to grow your faith? Take some time and pray. Ask God to reveal these areas to you.
