How to Equip the Saints
1. Live in Unity
2. Desire Maturity
3. Live for Christ
Talk It Over
1. What did God say to you from the message? What affirmed your walk with God? What stuck out and challenged your walk with God?
2. Ephesians 4:11-14 says, "So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.” Restate this passage in your own words as if you were sharing with a friend who missed the message. Is there anything you missed or added to the passage? What does it look like to obey this scripture? What is one step you can take within 24 hours to be equipped or equip others? Who do you need to share this scripture with this week.
3. Rate your walk with God as infant, toddler, child, teenager, young adult, or mature in Christ. Why did you rate yourself that way? What would it take to go to the next level? Discuss as a group the culture and heart of a disciple that grows to maturity and the obedience it takes to grow to maturity.
4. Stop and pray for the Holy Spirit to work in your life and the lives of those in your group. Pray for those you will share this truth with this week.
