• Trumpets are a part of a chronological and successive historical events that will clearly be seen from the time of early church to a 1000 year reign of Jesus on earth.
• Trumpets are part of specific events that will happen in 7 year period of significant tribulation sometime in the future.
• Trumpets represent things that pointed to the fall of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.
• Trumpets represent things happening in the time between Jesus ascension and His return but that they are a recapitulation of the seals.

I. Anything we trust other than God will be declared insufficient
II. Devotion to insufficient idols leads to torment
“It trumpets to those who think that their sins add to their lives that sin ruins everything; in fact, it will be their ruin.”

b. Pray against the power of the demonic horde
c. Recognize and repent if these trumpets are blaring in your life

Key Theme:
Our trust and confidence should be in no earthly created thing, only in the one who has made it all.
Key Application:
Evaluate our lives to see if there are things that hold our confidence other than God. Also, be ready to extend love, prayer, and proclamation of the good news when others idols fail.
Key Verse:
Revelation 9:20-21 “The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk, nor did they repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.”
Key Questions:
1. What ways do you see people experiencing “torment” when idols of this earth are judged?
2. Is there anyone in your life right now that seems to be in “torment”? How could you engage them in love? Take time to pray for them that they will not become more hardened and deceived.
3. Can you identify any thing of the world that you put your confidence in other than the living God and His Son Jesus?

Give Online
Church family, we praise God for how faithfully in so many respects you give. Our church family is undeniably generous, but we still have great needs for supplication. We ask that you give joyfully, faithfully and sacrificially in response to how our great God and Savior has given to us.
