SATAN WANTS TO STOP US FROM SURRENDERING.
I was a wretch
I remember who I was
I was lost, I was blind
I was running out of time
Sin separated
The breach was far too wide
I remember who I was
I was lost, I was blind
I was running out of time
Sin separated
The breach was far too wide
IF THERE’S NO BAD NEWS, THEN THERE’S NO GOOD NEWS. IF THERE’S NO SIN, THEN THERE’S NO SAVIOR.
From the far side of the chasm
Jesus held you in His sight
Jesus held you in His sight
JESUS HAS BEEN SEARCHING FOR YOU!
So Jesus made a way
Across the great divide
Left behind Heaven's throne
To build it here inside
And there, at the cross
Jesus paid the debt you owe
Broke your chains, freed your soul
For the first time, you had hope
Across the great divide
Left behind Heaven's throne
To build it here inside
And there, at the cross
Jesus paid the debt you owe
Broke your chains, freed your soul
For the first time, you had hope
THANK YOU JESUS FOR PAYING OUR DEBT!
There is nothing stronger than the wonder working power of the
blood - the Blood
That calls us sons and daughter
We are ransomed by our Father through the blood - the Blood
blood - the Blood
That calls us sons and daughter
We are ransomed by our Father through the blood - the Blood
JESUS WAS BORN TO DIE FOR YOU!
You took my place
Laid inside my tomb of sin
You were buried for three days
But then You walked right out again
And now death has no sting
And life has no end
For we have been transformed
By the blood of the Lamb
Laid inside my tomb of sin
You were buried for three days
But then You walked right out again
And now death has no sting
And life has no end
For we have been transformed
By the blood of the Lamb
JESUS HAS POWER OVER DEATH
JESUS’ PHYSICAL BODY WAS BURIED, BUT GOD WAS NOT DEAD.
WHO IS THANKFUL FOR JESUS?
Thank You, Jesus
For the blood applied
(Thank You, Jesus)
(It has washed me white)
Thank You, Jesus
You have saved my life
Brought me from the darkness
Into glorious light
Glory to His Name
Glory to His Name
There to my heart was the blood applied
Glory to His name
For the blood applied
(Thank You, Jesus)
(It has washed me white)
Thank You, Jesus
You have saved my life
Brought me from the darkness
Into glorious light
Glory to His Name
Glory to His Name
There to my heart was the blood applied
Glory to His name
YOU ARE THE VERY REASON FOR EASTER.
Talk It Over
1. Listen to the song, “Thank You Jesus for the Blood” by Charity Gayle. What did God say to you through this song? What lyrics confirmed the things of God in your heart. What lyrics challenged your view of yourself or God?
2. Romans 5:6 says, "When we were utterly helpless Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.” Pastor Sean said without sin there is no Savior. Do you remember what your life was like before you committed your life to Jesus? If so describe the feelings and battles you faced? What was it about Jesus that drew you to Him?
3. 1 Peter 2:24-25 says, "“Jesus himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” In your own words, describe what Jesus did on that cross for our sins. What does that means to you personally?
4. John the Baptist called Jesus the "Lamb of God” long before Jesus died. Pastor Sean said, Jesus was born to die for your sins. How does knowing that Jesus came specifically to wash away your sin make you feel? What words would you use to describe Jesus for doing this?
5. One of the lines in the song said, “nothing is more powerful than the wonder working power of the blood.” John 19:34-37 says, "Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water. 36These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled: “Not one of his bones will be broken,” 37and, as another scripture says, “They will look on the one they have pierced.”” What makes the blood of Jesus so powerful? What other scriptures points to the power of Jesus blood?
6. Matthew 28:6 says, "He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen.” In terms of gratitude how does this verse affect your soul? Would you describe yourself as someone who is more thankful for Jesus or is still thinking about Jesus? Why would you describe yourself that way over the other?
