Talk It Over

1. Which part of the message affirmed your walk with Christ the most? Which part of the message challenged you the most?

2. It’s easy to get discouraged from following God and go back to business as usual. Mark 1:16 says, "As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.” Describe a time in your life when you lost passion and focus on the things of God. What helped you the most through that season? Pastor Sean said, “To bring people to Jesus you are going to have to recognize your call to fish for people and leave some things and some people behind.” What are some of things you believe God has called you to leave behind to follow him? How has God honored those choices?

3. When you start bringing people to Jesus your enemy will recognize you first.Mark 1:23-24 says, "23Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an impure spirit cried out, 24“What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” What obstacles or battles has the enemy used to keep you off the battlefield for souls? How do you deal with opposition, disappointments, and wounds as you lead for Christ? What verses do you use to defeat the demons in your life?

4. What lengths are you willing to go to bring people to Jesus? Mark 2:4 says, "Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. These four men heard of or saw Jesus heal others in the weeks prior to carrying this paralyzed man. What about Jesus fuels you to bring others to Him? How big is your heartbeat for others to say, "If I could only get this person to Jesus.”

5. Pastor Sean said everything changed in one sentence for the paralyzed man. What sentence did Jesus whisper into your heart that changed you forever? Who has God laid on your heart to get them into the presence Jesus? Find a place alone and pray for renewed strength and for the souls of those who God is calling you carry.
